Brief Description:  Canopy lock

Lengthened slot in the trim strip D02-15 to make additional room for the canopy lock to slide aft. The strip slot was in the wrong potition due to the change in the length of the windshield.

Marked the lock slot in the canopy. Made a series of 3/16" holes along the slot location and filed out between the drilled holes to form the slot.

Disassembled the lock slide to install the flush rivets to mount the latch handle.

Installed the D02-08 canopy corners on the left canopy side tube D02-07. I used a CCC-42 on one of the forward canopy corners to clear the hook rail assembly. Up-drilled the side holes to #36 then tapped them for 6-32 screws.

Updrilled the left bottom canopy holes with a 5/32" acrylic drill. The print calls for 9/64" but that size acrylic drill was not available. I did use a #40 pilot drill that I rounded the cutting edge on the ScotchBrite wheel and that worked well to "melt" through the acrylic as shown on the Sonex video tips. Did not experience any chip-out on the backside of the holes with either bit.
